For those of you who have not heard me speak of my grandmother (Grahmuh a.k.a Bertha, Inelle, Inella Bella....) She lives in Tupelo, MS in a retirement community. In the last few years, she and my granddaddy have had to adjust to living separately due to her onset of alzheimers. It has been a long road....they've been married over 60 years. Her mental function is not what it has always been, but she still recognizes family and close friends, etc.
Last weekend, she fell going into the hallway of her building. She has a nasty bruise on her forehead and other complications have developed. Long story short, she's not doing well at all and is in the hospital there in Tupelo. The doctors are very cautious in deciding what to do for her. They told my mom and her brothers to call the family to come. We're just waiting now... for what, I'm sad thinking about. It's hard to say goodbye to one of my best friends. The tests from this morning show that she has had a heart attack since being in the hospital. Things don't look good, but I know that God is in control of the situation. I feel such a peace, however, about the whole thing. Grahmuh is a believer and will soon be in the arms of our Lord. I wish I could see her face when she gets there!
